  • Representing motor carriers, bus lines, household goods carriers, freight forwarders, transportation brokers and railroads in complying with licensing and related requirements of federal administrative agencies and bodies such as the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Surface Transportation Board and Bureau of Transportation Statistics, as well as the requirements of state and local bodies such as the Railroad Commission of Texas, the Texas Department of Transportation and the cities of Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, Texas.

  • Representing motor carriers, household goods carriers, freight forwarders, railroads, transportation brokers, warehouses, consolidators, third and fourth party logistics providers and shippers in negotiating and drafting transportation and logistics contracts.

  • Representing railroads in disputes concerning the interpretation of railroad trackage agreements and concerning other contract disputes between railroads.

  • Representing motor carriers and household goods carriers in negotiating and drafting service agreements with independent contractor owner operators.

  • Defending shippers and transportation brokers against claims by trustees of bankrupt motor carriers to collect alleged freight undercharges.

  • Advising and representing motor carriers, freight forwarders, railroads, shippers and their insurers in connection with spills of hazardous materials.

  • Representing motor carriers, bus lines and household goods carriers in the preparation and implementation of safety and drug testing programs.

  • Advising and representing motor carriers, bus lines, household goods carriers and railroads in connection with issues concerning taxation of truck tractors, semi-trailers, locomotives and railcars, and in connection with other taxation matters at the local, state, federal and international level.

  • Advising and representing motor carriers, bus lines, household goods carriers and railroads on customs and immigration issues and in customs and immigration enforcement matters.
