PERFORMANCE FEEDBACK
Evaluations
Firm partners formally evaluate all young associates twice a year. Evaluations continue once a year after an associate has completed three years of practice. The Associate Development Committee, along with the Practice Unit Leaders, facilitate the evaluation process. The ADC designed the evaluations to provide a private, candid and objective appraisal of each associate’s development as a lawyer and progress towards partnership. The evaluations consist of a review of a set of written criteria, including client service, quality of work, teamwork, leadership, productivity, and initiative. The process highlights and comments upon both an associate’s strengths and targets areas for improvement that focus on continued professional development.
