Mr. Watten specializes in transactional corporate, commercial finance, and real estate matters, including the oversight of the litigation of real estate related issues. He represents owners, developers and tenants of shopping centers, hotels, grocery stores, apartment complexes, office buildings, warehouses, and raw land in connection with leasing, acquisition, disposition (including OREO and environmentally challenged properties), construction, financing, foreclosure, and workout related matters. He represents public corporations, pension funds and real estate investment trusts in connection with their ownership, acquisition, disposition and management of owned real estate assets and their investments in global limited partnerships. He also represents a number of private companies and non-profit organizations in diverse industries as their outside general counsel. He represents several municipal entities in real estate and business-related matters.
