David has participated in a broad range of domestic and international negotiated transactions, including the representation of U.S., Latin American, European and Asian clients in the planning, structuring, negotiating, and implementing of joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, commercial lending transactions, trade, financing, and contract matters in each of these regions. David’s prior experience as a certified public accountant allows him to use a financial-oriented approach to his law practice. David has appeared on FOX Business Network and been quoted in international business and legal media including The Wall Street Journal, Investor''s Business Daily, Newsweek and Mexico''s El Financiero.
David serves as the Chair of Strasburger’s International Practice.

REPRESENTATIVE TRANSACTIONS
- Represented a publicly-traded Mexican manufacturer in its acquisition of a privately-held Mexican company that owns the largest aluminum smelter and rolling mill in Mexico.
- Represented a U.S. private equity fund in the private placement of securities the proceeds of which were used to finance the fund''s Brazilian subsidiary''s development of a biodiesel manufacturing facility.
- Represented a U.S. private equity group regarding their investment in and development of Costa Rican tourism properties.
- Represented a publicly-traded U.S. consumer finance company in its acquisition of all of the assets of a Mexican pawnshop chain from a U.S. holding company and its Mexican subsidiaries.
- Represented a publicly-traded U.S. oil and gas company in its sale of pipelines, real estate and related assets used for the transport of natural gas from Texas to Mexico.
- Represented the largest privately-held medical products manufacturer in the U.S. in its acquisition of all of the assets of a privately-held Mexican medical distribution company.
- Represented a Mexican private equity fund investing in various U.S.-based intellectual property assets related to electricity transmission.
- Represented several U.S. investors in establishing Mexican limited liability companies as vehicles for joint venture investment in various enterprises in Mexico.
- Represented a U.S. financial institution in the documentation of an amendment to a $25 million credit facility for a Mexican commercial vehicle lessor, secured by assets in the U.S. and Mexico, including vehicle leases, accounts receivable and other assets of the borrower held in a Mexican payment trust.
