Intellectual Property Attorney, Alan R. Thiele, Joins Strasburger's San Antonio Office

Mr. Thiele brings more than 20 years of experience in the protection of a broad array of inventions and trademarks. He also has extensive experience in international licensing and the intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions. His Texas clients include Stewart & Stevenson Services, Inc. of Houston, Alcon Labs of Fort Worth, and Lucifer Lighting of San Antonio. Alan's clients have noted that his combination of graduate degrees in both business and intellectual property, together with his extensive corporate experience, set him apart from other attorneys, particularly in the strategic use of intellectual property to maximize business value. Mr. Thiele received his B.A. in Applied Science and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University in 1966. He went on to earn his J.D. from Ohio Northern University. In 1984 he earned an LL.M., with honors, in Intellectual Property from the John Marshall Law School. He later earned an M.B.A., with honors, in 1990 from the University of Houston. Between 1969 and 1982, Mr. Thiele served his country as an officer in the United States Army including duty both as a helicopter pilot and as a Judge Advocate.
