Mark J. Andrews, PartnerJUNE 2, 2005 (Washington, D.C.) — Strasburger & Price, LLP, a full-service law firm with over 190 attorneys in seven offices, is pleased to announce that Mark J. Andrews was recently honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA).

The TLA acknowledges long standing members that display extraordinary leadership, diligence and service in the organization and related activities throughout the member's professional career. The Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honor that the TLA awards and was presented to Andrews at the organization's annual conference.

Andrews, partner-in charge of Strasburger's Washington, D.C. office, has been a TLA member since 1975. He served as the organization's president from 1992-1993 and on the Executive Committee as a voting member for a total of 16 years. Through the years, Andrews has served and chaired numerous committees, spoken at seminars, and written articles and papers for TLA publications.

Kathleen Jeffries, immediate past president of TLA, stated, "We are extremely proud of our selection of Mark as the recipient of our 2005 Lifetime Achievement Award. Mark's commitment, leadership and dedication to the organization and the transportation industry have been exemplary."

Andrews represents and assists major North American transportation and logistics service providers on a variety of business, regulatory and judicial matters. He has extensive experience in negotiating and drafting complex nationwide and international logistics and supply chain management contracts. Andrews also serves transportation providers and customers of all sizes, acting as an adviser and advocate on federal preemption issues, transportation mergers and acquisitions, transportation safety regulation, cargo loss and damage claims, and international transportation issues. Working closely with the firm's international practice team, he brings his supply-chain perspective to bear on customs and export compliance matters.
