Douglas N. Jacobson, Of CounselJULY 20, 2005 (Washington, D.C.) — Strasburger & Price, LLP, is pleased to announce that Douglas N. Jacobson has joined the firm's Washington, D.C., office as of counsel in the international practice area.

Jacobson is an accomplished international trade attorney who regularly counsels clients on a wide range of issues relating to import and export regulations and transactions. His experience includes export administration and foreign transactions controls, customs law and enforcement, antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings and legislative, policy and regulatory matters affecting international trade and international aviation. Jacobson regularly counsels U.S. companies and their foreign subsidiaries on compliance with U.S. and multilateral regimes governing the export of dual-use items, software, technology, defense articles and humanitarian products. He currently serves as principal outside international trade counsel to a number of U.S.-based multinational companies that produce medical, electronic, industrial, consumer and aerospace products. Jacobson regularly monitors and reports to clients on significant legislative, regulatory and political developments through International Trade Law News, a web-based compilation of news and information on export controls, customs, antidumping and other international trade matters. He is also a frequent speaker on international trade matters.

"Doug is a valuable addition to our international group and our D.C. office – which puts him at the center of trade compliance regulation," stated David Cibrian, head of Strasburger's international practice. "His wide range of international trade experience compliments the firm's existing practice and provides us with greater opportunities to better serve our clients on an international level."

Jacobson will maintain his role as a principal of the Law Offices of Douglas N. Jacobson LLC in addition to practicing at Strasburger.

Jacobson received his J.D. in 1990 from the American University Washington College of Law, his D.M.D. in 1987 from Washington University in St. Louis, and his B.A. in 1983 from the University of Texas at Austin.
