Strasburger Elects New Partners

JANUARY 23, 2006 (Dallas, Texas) — Strasburger & Price, LLP, is pleased to announce that the firm has elected seven attorneys to the partnership on January 1, 2006. Selection of the new partners was based upon legal ability, length of time in practice, productivity, client service skills, professional and community activities, and dedication to the firm. The new Strasburger partners include:
Earsa Jackson's practice includes business and commercial litigation,
business torts, franchise and distribution, trademark infringement,
contract disputes, commercial and residential landlord/tenant disputes,
and direct selling. Jackson received her J.D. in 1998 from the University
of Virginia School of Law and her B.A. magna cum laude from the University
of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1995.
Courtney Jones counsels clients on environmental law, business
disputes, and intellectual property, with a focus on environmental
counseling and litigation. In the environmental field, Jones has
particular experience in regulatory compliance and environmental business
transactions, as well as in matters of civil enforcement, toxic tort, and
property damage claims. In the intellectual property field, Jones
represents clients in trademark clearance, registration, and litigation.
She received her J.D. in 1998 from Georgetown University Law Center and
her B.A. from Rice University in 1995.
Daniel Lanfear is a litigator who represents clients in matters
involving business and commercial disputes, contract disputes, and
business torts. He also has experience in the areas of environmental,
labor and employment, and real estate law. Lanfear received his J.D. in
1992 and his B.A. in 1989, both from St. Mary's University.
David Ovard counsels clients in the areas of health care law,
professional liability, corporate law, business law, mass tort litigation,
and class action litigation. His practice includes representation of
clients in complex litigation and advising clients as to limiting
liability exposure. Ovard received his J.D. from Southern Methodist
University Dedman School of Law in 1998 and his B.A. in 1992 from the
University of Texas at Austin.
Paul Sheldon represents clients in civil litigation matters with a
focus on medical malpractice, physician credentialing, and the liability
of hospitals, nursing homes, and medical professionals. He received his
J.D. in 1991 from California Western School of Law, his B.A. from Rice
University in 1988 and his A.A. with highest honors from New Mexico
Military Institute in 1986. Sheldon also serves as a military judge
advocate for the U.S. Army Medical Command and advises commanders on
adverse physician credentialing/privileging matters as well as medical
malpractice claims asserted against military physicians and facilities.
Alan Thiele counsels and advises clients in the identification,
protection, and strategic management of intellectual capital assets.
Thiele has significant experience in obtaining both U.S. and international
patents and trademark registrations. Thiele received his M.B.A. in 1990
from the University of Houston, his L.L.M. in Intellectual Property from
John Marshall Law School in 1984, his J.D. in 1969 from Ohio Northern
University and his B.A. and B.S. from Lehigh University in 1966.
Chris Ward represents clients in litigation matters with an emphasis on fidelity and surety claims, insurance coverage, construction, and general commercial matters. He received his J.D. with honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 1998 and his B.A. summa cum laude in 1994 from the University of Colorado. |
