EXPERIENCE

ESTATE PLANNING

Strasburger helps individuals prepare estate plans that will minimize estate and gift taxes while maximizing family wealth management and asset protection. Such planning may include wills, living trusts, irrevocable trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts (ILITs), family limited partnerships (FLPs), generation skipping trusts and charitable trusts, among other estate planning vehicles. Additionally, such planning may include family business planning to protect the family in the event of the death of a business owner or key employee through buy sell agreements, to transfer the ownership or management of the business to younger generation family members and to provide for financial security through nonqualified retirement plans.

CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS

Strasburger also assists individuals or groups with the formation of and management of charitable organizations, including both private foundations and public charities.

PROBATE & GUARDIANSHIP

Strasburger’s estate and trust attorneys are also experienced in guiding families through the difficult process of administration following the death of a loved one. We have the expertise to handle all necessary court proceedings, from simple probates to complex will contests, and the expertise to advise and assist with the administration process which may include tax elections, preparation of estate and gift tax returns, estate and trust income tax issues and fiduciary liability issues. Additionally, Strasburger represents individuals in guardianship proceedings when a person’s possible incapacity makes them unable to handle their own personal or financial affairs.
