Strasburger Elects Four New Partners

February 1, 2018

Strasburger & Price, LLP has elected Andrew Carter, Ryan DeLaune, Kate Morris and Sarah Nichols Wariner as Partners in the firm. The four attorneys are all from North Texas, with Andrew and Sarah serving clients from the firm’s Collin County office and Kate and Ryan practicing from Dallas.

“Each of our new Partners is committed to the success of the firm and our principle of going above and beyond for our clients,” said Dan Butcher, Managing Partner of Strasburger. “We are pleased to welcome these exceptional individuals to our Partner ranks, and look forward to their influence on our forward momentum.”

Andrew’s practice concentrates on representing insurance companies in coverage disputes and surety in high-dollar construction projects. He has particular experience representing clients in trade secret, fiduciary duty, general business, and commercial litigation matters, including governmental investigations. Andrew is a member of Young Texans Against Cancer, a group dedicated to increasing cancer awareness among those 22-45 years of age.

Ryan represents clients in litigation matters with an emphasis on fidelity and surety claims, construction, insurance coverage, transportation, professional liability and general commercial matters. His experience includes representing debtors and creditors in corporate reorganizations, as well as in insolvency-related litigation. Ryan currently serves as Co-Chair of the Young Professional Subcommittee of the ABA’s Fidelity and Surety Law Committee. As an active member of Strasburger’s LGBT Council, Ryan spearheaded the firm’s 2018 sponsorship of Equality Texas, a statewide political advocacy organization that advocates for LGBT rights, and is an advocate for Lavender Law, the National LGBT Bar Association’s Lavender Law® Career Fair.

Kate is a privacy and technology lawyer with almost a decade of experience in technology transactions, business litigation and data security incident response. She is co-chair of Strasburger’s Privacy, Data and Cybersecurity practice group, and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Kate was recently elected to the board of directors of the Dallas Bar Association and re-elected to the board of the Dallas Women Lawyers Association. Kate also speaks and writes frequently on technology issues related to electronic discovery, data preservation, social media, and data privacy and security.

Sarah is a commercial litigator serving clients in industries as varied as oil and gas, finance, franchise, distribution, and retail. She helps clients evaluate the risks and rewards of legal proceedings and is dedicated to supporting her clients through the entire process. Sarah has been instrumental in promoting the N.E.W. Roundtable, a group of ethnically diverse female in-house and outside counsel working in the Dallas metro area. Additionally, Sarah assists the Innocence Project of Texas on a pro bono basis, providing investigative and legal assistance to low-income Texans convicted of crimes they did not commit.
